Creative Evening ‘Loose Watercolor Florals’ • Monday, 28 April 2025 I 6-8 pm I Basel
This month, we will explore painting floral motifs in the so-called loose watercolor style/technique. This painting technique is an intuitive way of painting with watercolors (aquarell paints) and is not about perfection or a photorealistic representation of the motif, but rather it is the imperfection of our painting that makes this technique so charming.
Using the beautiful transparent watercolors, we will create delicate flower and leaf compositions with just a few light brushstrokes. I will show you lots of basics first, so that you can continue to create your own floral projects at home after the creative evening.
What you can expect – your Creative Evening at a glance:
- Theme: Loose Watercolor Florals – painting flowers and leaves in loose watercolor style
- Course of events: First, we will dedicate a good amount of time to dive into the basics: We will practice many different leaf and flower shapes and while doing so practice handling the watercolor brushes and gather experience how the watercolor paints flow and “behave”. Afterwards we will put our knowledge into practice and will paint two motifs: a delicate bouquet of flowers and an individual rose pattern (which we can turn into a bookmark if we wish). I will provide you with color suggestions for inspiration, but you can choose your own color palette.
- Suitable for everyone: No previous knowledge or special skills are required – you are invited to just experiment. There is no right or wrong way when being creative! Especially with watercolors as they are not completely controllable anyway. When we paint in loose watercolor style, we can let go of the expectation that our results will all look the same and like the original. Everyone brings their own individual style to the painting and that’s perfect!
- Everything included: All materials (high-quality watercolor paints, paper and brushes), drinks (water, tea, coffee, juice) and small snacks.
- Small group: Maximum of 4 people – for a personal, relaxed atmosphere.
- Course language: German and English (depending on the needs of the participanrts)

Enrollment/Booking
Enrollment is possible via purchase on the website/online shop, via the contact form or with me personally. It is binding and will be considered in the order of receipt.
Enrollment for the April Creative Evening is possible until 25 April 2025 at 11:59 pm.
Payment of course fee
At checkout, you can choose between the payment methods TWINT, credit card or payment by invoice (bank transfer). If you chose to pay by invoice, you will receive a QR invoice from me by e-mail within 1-2 days after completing the order process in the shop. Please pay the course fee before the course starts.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of the booking is free of charge up to 7 days before the event, i.e. by 18 February 2025.
If you cancel 7 or less days before the workshop, 25% of the course fee will be charged. If you cancel 3 or less days before the start of the course, 50% of the course fee will be charged.
Non-payment of the course fee does not count as de-registration. In cases of hardship, such as prolonged and medically proven illness or an accident, a maximum of 50% of the course fees can be refunded or credited towards a new course. The decision as to whether a credit will be granted will only be made following a written request.
No reduction in course fees will be granted for absences. Refunds of course fees after the start of the course are generally excluded.
