Creative Evening ‘Painting to Music – paint & groove with Acrylics and Mixed Media – Thu, 28 August 2025 I 6-8pm I Basel
This month, music is our inspiration. We paint intuitively and experimentally with acrylic paints and mixed media materials to the sounds and rhythms of the songs on our playlist (making this evening a perfect opportunity for beginners to try their hand at abstract painting). Feel free to let me know your music requests for the playlist. What’s your favorite song that you would like to paint to?
We will create approximately 5-8 works based on different songs, varying the painting time. Sometimes we will only have the duration of one song (approximately 3-4 minutes) to let ourselves be guided by the music, and sometimes we will choose longer pieces or repeat a song to give the painting more depth (approximately 10-12 minutes).
I will provide a selection of different watercolor and canvas papers in various sizes so that we can experiment with different textures and take home a whole variety of intuitive abstract paintings at the end.
What you can expect:
- Theme: Intuitive painting with acrylic and mixed media – inspired by music
- Course of events: In the two hours we will paint about 5-8 works to the songs on our playlist and vary the painting time each time – for very spontaneous and also for somewhat deeper creative explorations. You can switch up your color selection and the choice of mixed media materials in between the different rounds of painting. At the beginning we will prepare our painting substrates and after painting, everyone will tidy up their workstation.
- Suitable for everyone: No previous experience or special skills required – the music guides us. Simply bring a positive attitude to experiment and experience joy of creating. There is no right or wrong!
- Included: All materials (high-quality acrylic paints, various paper, brushes, mixed media materials, etc) and drinks (water, tea, coffee).
- Small group: Maximum of 4 people – for a personal, relaxed atmosphere.
- Course language: German and English (depending on the needs of the participants)

Enrollment/Booking
Enrollment is possible via purchase on the website/online shop, via the contact form or with me personally. It is binding and will be considered in the order of receipt.
Enrollment for this Creative Evening is possible until 26 August 2025 at 11:59 pm.
Payment of course fee
At checkout, you can choose between the payment methods TWINT, credit card or payment by invoice (bank transfer). If you chose to pay by invoice, you will receive a QR invoice from me by e-mail within 1-2 days after completing the order process in the shop. Please pay the course fee before the course starts.
Cancellation Policy
Cancellation of the booking is free of charge up to 7 days before the event (i.e. by 21 August 2025).
If cancellation occurs less than 7 days before the workshop, 25% of the course fee will be charged. For cancellations between 3 days and 1 day before the course, 50% of the course fee will be charged.
No course fee reduction or refund will be granted for cancellations on the day of the course or in the event of absence. As a rule, course fees will not be refunded after the course has started.
If you have to cancel at short notice, you can transfer your place on the course to a replacement participant. In this case, please let me know the name of the replacement participant in advance.
Non-payment of the course fee does not count as de-registration. In cases of hardship, such as prolonged and medically proven illness or an accident, a maximum of 50% of the course fees can be refunded or credited towards a new course. The decision as to whether a credit will be granted will only be made following a written request.
